For the love of all that is holy, we need this. How many times have you made an item that is meant to be worn, stood on a posing stand and spent hours meticulously crafting it, only to put it on and spend another several hours tweaking it trying to figure out exactly WHERE you had it on the posing stand? I've tried using a cube hidden in the item with <0,0,0> rotation and to no avail.. it is always, always off and always, always ends up with me frustrated and redoing half the thing once it's worn. We should be able to have a prim on the ground, make it, wear it, position it, then have items you can bring near it and position it just as you would as if you were creating the item just near your body, except when you go to "link" and link it with the worn prim, it becomes worn, and stays in that position, linked to the prim that was already attached. This would just be... sooo wonderful and such a time saver. *worships Lindens in advance*

What we need is a way to set Attachment rotation based on global rotation. That way, a little scnipped script would work.

I agree, the global positioning would be nice. It would also be nice to be able to see its coordinates, globally or otherwise, as silly as that may sound. It would just make life easier.
I've tried the method you suggested, Kyrah, but when the objects get close to one another the highlighting and junk makes it difficult to tell what I'm doing and I never seem to be able to get it dead on. For example, when I make hair, I make it pretty close to my head (I hate when hair is poofing way off my head because it was made one-size-fits-all for everyone, her kids, and her giantess mother-in-law, and I've heard sentiments that echo this) but that means it has to be in *exactly* the same position it was when I was making it on the posing stand, or there will be spots showing and I have to spend another hour or so adjusting it all into place while also looking the way I intended and it's just a lot bigger of a hassle than being able to simply.. link it directly to an attachment. Am I wrong?
This suggestion would also facilitate making more complex attachments for people who want things like multiple pieces of jewelry on one attachment point.
