We can customize our terrain textures. How bout a custom skybox? And if it featured a "slide" anim so clouds seemed to be slowly receding toward the horizon: SWEETNESS!

Hell yeah! I can't believe we can't change the sun/moon/cloud/skybox textures. We could really use this for games - imagine a game set on mars where the moon texture would be two small dots for deimos and phobos, with a smaller sun texture and reddish skybox... or a game set in an underwater dome, we could paint the dome on the skybox. As for clouds, we could definitely use a darker cloud texture so we could have rain effects etc... Imagine, in an underwater sim, we could have schools of fish on the cloud textures! :D

You can already have that - you simply have to be willing to spend the prims.

Wrapping the whole sim with prims would only sort of be the same as a skybox if you had the draw distance turned way up so as to see the whole sim at a time, which isn't the case for most people.
