I'll quote from Pituca's original postings and from others as we brainstormed on what sections are needed. I've seen other forum areas divided up pretty well, and this area REALLY needs it too!
Some ideas overlap, & I tried to consolidate them at the end of this post, but you can get the basic idea of what's needed and go from there.

"I think we need more "New Product" forums. A Designer one for sure! The new clothing, skins and accessories that come out are advertised and bumped a lot by their fans, so the ordinary post about new vehicles, trees, scanners ............. whatever plunge to the bottom of the page never to be seen again.
Please do not construe this as a complaint against the designers and their fans as I shop here too! I love to see the new stuff out and as a Live Helper whenever someone IMs and wants to know where to buy a certain item, as well as telling them how to use Find I also tell them to check out the New Products thread in the Classifieds.
Please! Just divide it up into 3 or 4 sections?
Just off the top of my head I had thought of
1.) Clothing and accessories
2.) Housing, Stores and furnishings
3.) Vehicles
4.) Nursery (ie. trees, flowers, fountains and all the good stuff you might find at Armstrong's or Roger's Gardens)"

In general I think we would need the following, judging from the above lists:
1) Clothing
2) Shoes
3) Accessories - Jewelry, hats, purses, cuffs & collars, bags, backpacks etc
4) Exteriors & Garden - plants, waterfalls, fountains, sculpture, outdoor furniture, pool & accessories etc - basically outdoor stuff including textures
5) Body Shop - Hair, Skin, Eyes, Tattoo, Makeup, full Avatars
6) Interiors & Home - Furniture, artwork (including indoor sculpture), rugs, indoor plants (flowers in a vase etc), basically interior design and home furnishings including textures
7) Vehicles & Structures (combining two from above list) - including prefabs, boats, cars, houses, kits, bikes, sets etc
Animations & Gadjets (combining again) - dances, poses, pose & anim balls, dance machines, scripted gadgets (AO's, vendors, shoulder buddies, etc)9) Potpourri- Misc for those items that don't seem to fit in any of the above
