Prim Limiting parcels on estates

Hey all! Just posting an idea I had for a feature suggestion. If you like it vote for Prop 1976!

My feature suggestion is simple. Allow manual entry of prim limits onto a parcel on a estate sim. Right now if you parcel out a land mass, but it remains under control of the sim owner, any prim usage on that parcel gets absorbed into the sim as a whole. So theorectically you rent a parcel for 200 prims, but the renter places 250 prims on the parcel. That extra 50 comes out of the sim as a whole, and that can add up if you have many renters. Selling it to seperate it from the estate is also not the solution because this will unduly limit the prims based on lot size. So lets take a 512m lot for example, you tell the renter that they actually get 200 prims with the lot. Well if you sell it to him, he really only gets 117 prims the minute its under his name. You could use the object limit multiplier, but if you have different prim limits you want to set for each seperate parcel on a sim you are out of luck. Plus if you have theming, it could be ruined the moment it changes hands and the auto return is turned on.

So my proposal is this. For every parcel on an estate owned by the sim owner, have a checkbox stating 'Seperate from rest of the sim' this will shift it from using the general estate sims prim limits to the actual parcels limits. Then have a little entry box with - "state parcel prim limits" and you can put in 200, 2000, or 2 prims for that particular parcel. When that limit is reached, no more building can be allowed on that parcel until the number of prims are reduced. This way if the sim owner has a house on the land and wishes to rent the parcel and house with 200 additional prims, he can configure the parcel to accept total prim usage of #prims in house + 200 additional prims.

Thanks!

A good component of the push towards sim resource limits which are saner and configurable on a per-parcel basis :)
