I would like to see a feature that would allow me to recall all my items that are lying about in the sim I am located in, with an optional date range for when they were last rezzed. A really cool option would be a distance radius limit for the effect, so I could clean up anything in the area where I had my home, while not taking down my store on the other side of the sim. It should only affect my own items, and it shouldn't matter whose land they are on, as long as they are still in this sim. To recall something that has crossed a sim border, I would have to go to that sim and try there. Recalled items would come back into my Inventory, just as if I had clicked on each one and done a 'take' on it. Effectively this function is similar to a land owner's ability to 'return' an item, only this is the object owner recalling what they own.
Case in point. I just bought some items today, and used them to decorate my home, which is rented. Some of the items are no-copy, so while they are rezzed in-world, there is no trace of them in my Inventory. Now, let's say some event causes them to end up where they shouldn't be. Maybe a griefer drops a bomb with a very strong push script and they get scattered, or maybe the item just rezzed on the wrong side of the floor. For whatever reason, one or more no-copy items that I placed in the last 24 hours are now missing. Maybe they are under the floor, maybe at the bottom of the lake, or maybe something strange happened and they are 'below the ground'. The point is, I can't locate them, and therefore can't retrieve them. This function would allow me to get my stuff back into inventory.
This function would also be useful if you were moving from one sim to another, and particularly if you rent, rather than owning land. Recall all your items, and you are 'packed' in one shot.

Agreed on this, though if I could take the idea a step further...
In the land mangement tools, when we return objects, if we could get a full list of the objects on our parcels, along with the owner of said object(s) instead of just a count of objects by owner. Clicking on an object would highlight the object (similar to editing mode) to allow us to see where the object is currently located. Right now, the best I can do is find every object I own on my land all at once. It would be nice to have a bit more resolution in the search in case I misplace something or want to pull one item (or a group of items, for that matter... think Christmas decorations after the new year is up) back into my inventory someplace.
Bonus points for doing the above and letting us pull an object or group of objects that we own back into a specific place in our inventory (again, decorations and the like).

It is another odd bidirectionality that we can make schtuff so easily, but losing it is a pain in a digital world. Odd how 3D physical space confines that, and how we don't yet have a search engine to dig for that info like we can on the Internet (if we lose a reference resource, as an example).
Maybe this should be a menu item in Inventory window showing "recently rezzed" items?

For that matter, yes, simply being able to list all of my items that are somewhere in this sim, regardless of where they are, and being able to bring them back to inventory from there, would be a godsend. If I could sort it by time rezzed, it would make it easier to determine which copies to pull back, if there were multiples.

From: Ceera Murakami "Where did my red tea set fly off to? I just wanted to move it to the other end of the table, when the dog jumped in my lap. Now it's gone! Ah! There it is!" Hahaha... that makes for such a great visual. Altho, there would likely be better filters to sort by, because there are a lot of objects named Object out there.
