Like "Sit Here" except it just takes you to the spot you clicked on.

It seems like sometimes it's just a ridiculous amount of work, walking back and forth, turning around, etc, to just try to stand in a particular spot...

Don't you get this if you click on the ground? Not objects but actually on the grass/terrain?

I believe so, but since it's mostly in buildings/places that I would like to go to a particular spot, it'd be nice if it worked on objects as well.

Here's a perfect example:

Today I went to a formal ball with a bunch of friends. At the end we wanted to take a group pic on the balcony. Obviously we're in a building, not the ground. It took probably 15-20 minutes just to get everyone lined up so we were facing the same way and not standing on top of each other. Sure we coulda dropped a bunch of pose balls, but if we're in a spot that doesn't allow object creation we can't do that, and besides we didn't really have a bunch of pose balls handy. (And then taking time to arrange a dozen pose balls...) Had we been able to just click a spot on the floor and pick "Go here" it woulda been much easier.

It's a pretty lo-pri request, but since there's already a "go here" for ground, and "Sit here" for objects, I wouldn't think it'd be that difficult to implement.

Yeah, I think the main reason its not on objects is because theres more options on objects and so there might not be room, but it shouldn't be that hard to impliment like you said..

I've seen at least one animation thing for 5+ people, standing. I poses you for a group picture. If the priority is low enough, maybe you can also override it with your own poses once on the spot.

i guess you could get some one to script a movement script for avatars in which its made for a certain building and you say go to balcony and it get you position in the building and takes you there walking up stairs and every thing.

Maybe you could rez a long single-prim bench, everyone sits on it, then when you all click stand up you're left standing in a row? Might work, at least in an area where you can rez a prim. Perhaps you could rez the prim on a neighboring parcel and drag it over in edit mode.

Heh, thanks for the suggestions, but that's really just a single concrete example. Let's assume that in this case the property were set no-edit, so I would be unable to rez any kind of poseball or object or anything in any case. I'd still like to be able to click a spot and say, "Go Here" on an object, just as you can on land. It's a little baffling why it is implemented for land but not objects.
