Road Crew membership

Please start a membership for a road crew so we may enhance the road system. They would need build edit perms for the linden protected land. The land can be carved up in causeways for the infrastructure layout and the membership could take care of the paving, bridging etc. ! There is a large Biker movement in SL and we desire this greatly !!

This would be hard to screen for people to join this.

I think its a good idea to have some people regularly watching out for the roads, but still, I also worry about people abusing it and messing up the roads even more.

I thought that same exact thing after I posted this. I don't know how it could be accomplished but something needs to be done.

That's perhaps the easiest part of this proposal. It can be handled with a group policy of:

1. Accidental minor infractions are corrected by the offender immediately or you drop to level 2:
   
2. Accidental major destruction or failure to correct puts you on alert of dismissal from the group;
   
3. Abuse results in instant ejection from the crew.
   

Not hard really. Pretty soon you'd end up with an extremely trustworthy road crew. And then all you'd need is some apparatus for ensuring that it's not a jobs-for-life thing and that new blood gets a chance.

Or since mentors are already screened, just roll this into their permissions.
