Totally Need Resident Designed Communities

I think Resident Designed Communities are becoming a thing of the past. Nowadays, it's hard for a group of friends to realistically purchase enough land in a sim to call it their own neighborhood and do with it what they please. Auctions leave absolutely no option for neighborhoods like this. While I'm not against the auctions, I wish there was something more for people who want to create a community with friends.

Of course, there's the auctioning idea allowing groups to make claims on large parcels of land. There's also the "land rush" idea that can be returned. Lindenlabs might want to propose more "community project" sims and themed areas like we used to have.

Just some quick thoughts. I'm sure others have thought of this before.

Daemioth,

perhaps a community owned island is your answer? have you seen this new offering from LL? get a large enough group together and a community owned island becomes quite feasable(sp?).

ps - this is what my 'title' (.raw talent) is in referrance to.. i've decided to offer my services as a custom island designer.
