Drift, you beat me to it. I was just going to note where they had moved. The name is a little misleading. I only found it by looking at the post counts. Perhaps a category for General posts that could have the old general discussion and a forum for junk, like those 3-word threads?

It's because they think that by removing the place to talk about life in Second Life, we won't be flaming each other.

'course, this KILLS new user accessibility.

I'm REALLY not liking the changes LL's been making recently.

I'm a little pissed off at this change...maybe more than a little, I am holding back right now. It's not like me to get pissed off like this, especially at LL, but what the hell is this crap? The only thing I've been visiting the last month because of time limitations is "off topic", and I liked the two sided debate there. I consider this a learning resource dumped in the trash...what a waste. (The pointless spam posts were fun too.

)

Making general discussion "New in SL" was only done to preserve the old posts (where are the off topic posts anyway?), but renaming it has changed the topic too much.

Maybe an "off topic group" or "general" group is a good idea.

BTW

WTF is C3PO supposed to be USEFUL for anyway, besides whining? Stupid piece of scrap metal would be more useful recycled as a toaster. But even that would suck, because who would want to listen to a whining wussy toaster? Is he gold plated? If that's the case he should just be melted down into gold ingots. Help the economy some, and stop being so damn useless you stupid bucket of bolts! R2 is 1,000 times more useful than your tin man ass, and he's shaped like a salt and pepper shaker FFS!

It really makes me sad that tomorrow is SL first birthday and we are all pissed off about forum changes. The decision and timing blows.
