Simple request, ban vehicles from sandboxes like how weapons are banned. The large open area is tempting for people but sandboxes are meant to building which does not give much space for maneuvering and they tend to be quite laggy which makes it harder to drive.

I frequently see people getting hit by vehicles and the sim ends up littered with them (Especially Island). They don't take up many prims but they do take up a lot of space.

There are six sims dedicated to vehicles so I don't see why this should be a problem, one should probably be converted to a full vehicle sandbox to compensate though.

I am in the planning stages of buying an island. I was thinking about this last night, after being repeatedly hit by some shmuck on a cycle, who then weeped and wailed about his crappy PIII computer not being able to render fast enough to drive.
Ended up just being yet another one of those folks who do things JUST this side of the rules so, when told off, can argue, then use that as an excuse to grief and throw bombs etc.
My favorite moment was (this was in Furnation Vista) when, after being repeatedly asked, nicely, to stop hitting people with his vehicle, and, if he MUST drive it, to please try to stay to the sides, he started whining about being discriminated against for wearing a human AV!

Anyway, that's neither here nor there.

When I do get the island, I intend on dedicating at least 1/4 of the sim to a Sandbox and came to the decision that NO Push scripts will be allowed.

I started writing the Rules last night and, while long, hopefully will cover most annoyances such as this.

So, if you're looking for a sandbox with NO push scripts at all, no vehicles, no weapons... a Sandbox dedicated to building for the sake of enjoyment, check out Bushbaby Island (tentative name) in a couple of months.

Opinions, anyone? Pros? Cons?

On a side note, the sandbox in Natoma (at least I'm pretty sure thats where it is) is almost always empty and had virtually no lag.
