If you want to see textures and shapeswithout buggy "see-through" vote for this one.

In all due respect thats not a feature request. Thats a bug issue that is very complex due to how the entire rendering engine as a whole has to process each polygon based on very complex orders of rendering.

It should be acknowledge just for the sake of returning votes that are being wasted on something not even a feature so that those votes can be placed somewhere else.

As I've heard this was a feature that was available quite some time ago, but was removed, wouldn't it then be safe to assume it could be re-added? Although maybe with some difficulty, but it still should be possible. And considering how the problem is being addressed at the moment with invisiprims, wouldnt it be reducing poly counts to simply have the alpha texture directly on the avatar?

I can think of a lot of cool ways to use this, actually. I'm sort of imagining an av that would consist only of spirals around hollow space... arms, legs, torso, head... veri Dali-esque. :D

But this isn't at the top of my list at the moment, sadly. Especially if it might trigger bugs.

There are bug risks with every new feature that is introduced.. There seems to be alot of negativity towards this when it is a solution to the already buggy invisiprims..

it's not negativity, its called knowledge

we already have problems when two alpha textures are meeting, you think adding one more on the avatar is going to make the thing better?

Someone posted that the alpha texture ordering issue is not unique to SL. The problem is inherent in polygon rendering procedures.
