I was messing around with some things and transfered a movie to flash from a mpeg format. Kept basically the same quality but a much smaller file size. Can get a file that would be 150 Mb down to 25Mb... that is a HUGE drop. Something that would be much appricated.

Quicktime can play Flash movies. SL can play anything Quicktime can play, since it is Quicktime that actually is doing the playing, not SL. Are you not able to play Flash in Quicktime on your machine?
