I think that if would be possible to send to an alternate text editor such as SciTE-ez the info it needs to know where synax errors are so that it could replace the current scripting editor with the cursor at the postion of the error. Dos compilers could do this many years ago, allowing choices of editors in a rather seamless fashion.
