I am not extremely techie in nature and therefore, I am looking for suggestions. Second Life offers a wonderful feature for keeping notes on projects, sales, trades, etc on the My Notes tab in everyone's profile. I recently found a time consuming flaw with this set up.

Here is the background. I had spoken with someone a few months ago about doing a customized piece. They asked that I contact them when I found the textures, etc for the project and they would be happy to customize their product for me. I made a note on their profile in the My Notes tab. I have never met this person and they are a stranger to me. This past week I found what I wanted to use as a texture. Guess what? I don't remember their name. I tried to teleport to where I saw their work and there is no longer a sim in that location. So, I have spent several hours, painstakingly going through the people section of the Find option looking for my note. Since I do not remember this persons name, I have chosen to do it alphabetically (aa, ab, ac, ad... etc) looking at the My Notes tab for my note on this person. Now, I have to wait a couple seconds between each person to give time for the possible note to appear in the window. I have done 7 letters of the alphabet and am continuing to search. I anticipate it taking me several more hours to finish the alphabet. How annoying is this? I now realize that it is better for me to keep a notecard in my inventory. But, it shouldn't be that way. Linden Labs have provided this great tool. I think they need to provide an efficent way to search it.

Here is my idea. I think it would be great to be able to click a radial button to activate a My Notes search. This would pull up only people where you have made a note on their profile. I would think that it would be a programmable thing to do where the search is conducted for any profile where the My Notes field is not null. In other words... you have made a note, the note field is not blank. We can currently pull up only people who are online. I would think this would be similar to that feature set.

Suggestions? Ideas? Thank you. Saebyl Pennyfeather
