Inventory Limits and Clean Up Options - To Help Database

I am thinking that one of the biggest loads on the database is thousands of people having junk they never touch in their inventory. I know that I used to clean out my inventory but as the inventory became more efficient and included searching this seemed to be no longer needed. Also as my inventory became larger it seemed like a daunting task. Clearly this is wrong.

Lets include options to help us clear junk from out inventory. Maybe a delete all items not touched in 6 months button or a hard limit of 1000 items. And when a item is added past the 1000th SL offers u a choice, "Delete (oldest untouched item) and accept new item? (Yes) (No). How about stuff not touched for 6 months gets archived out of the database and after 1 year deleted? How about prompts that come up and say "You have 435 items that have not been used for 6 months. (Archive) (Delete) or (View)". Maybe this can popup once a week? Its ironic we can only have 15 groups but have unlimited crap in our inventory.

I have been thru my inventory and cleaned it out...... Will happily delete more if it will help.... mostly jsut clothes and pictures.... gawd...... the pictures ... will do screen caps to save them I think.....anything to help out until a solution is reached. I think your idea has merit. Maybe opt for one of your ideas instead of one of the " pampering SL avie" Ideas that have been suggested for the near future.
