Lower default rolloff factor in audio

It seems to be the default setting for "rolloff factor" in audio settings is far too intense.

In other words, sounds fade too quickly as you move away from them.

I use about 1/5 power, so to speak. I would like to see Linden Lab adjust this to a lower level so that people can more reliably hear sounds near them.

Ah yes. I became more consciously aware of this after you mentioned it. I'll vouch for this too... it can be even stranger when you spin your head in a crowd that's broadcasting sounds -- the effect seems very exaggerated by default to me.

Yes I've noticed this for some time now that things are harder to hear in SL, turning up my volume is a bad idea though because then when I go near the source, my ears get blown out.

Wind and such seems the same volume, but any actual other sounds from audio source objects (avatars inclueded) seem harder to hear.

I would actualy qualify this as a bug myself.
