I wish there would be a way to return things that are overhanging the lot line. Complaining to LL doesn't seem to help much.
Is it possible to allow land owners the power to return these items?
Or am I dreaming?

I think you can.. I built a wall over some of the damn bush signs and the walls were attached to my parcel and only overhanging infront of the bush signs. In 15 min everything overhanging was sent back.

Yes, but the alternative is having the trees sticking though my walls. I don't think people should be able to use the space I pay for, unless I permit it.

I have several parcels with overhanging objects owned by others. Unless the center of the object is on my land, I can't return it. LL can, but it takes a presidential order to get that to happen. |

True, I hate the trees. Even if it looks ok at first, the wind blows and they come into the walls. often I see people move it away form their house because they dint want them inside there walls... but it ends up in your bedroom.
I think that would also count for Particle systems. On my Fist land some guy had glowing orbs that would blow with the wind. They constantly went right through my walls and home. Its really annoying. |

Really? Crap.. I will build the walls again and this time not cross the center. Well... that should be fixed.. for sure. until then, I will build my walls to protect against that terrorist. |

While I have had the same thought myself when the overhanging object affects me, this just isn't practical. Especially on small newbie 512 lots the trees would all have to be clustered in the middle, or you would be only able to have one tree maybe. In any case, if your trees aren't annoying your neighbour, why would you have to worry about them being returned? And if they are, why shouldn't they be? |

It might be better if there were somehow some way of 'blocking' things from overlapping onto your land visually. ie anything that 'intersects' with your land isn't drawn if you check the "don't draw overlapping" checkbox. This would count for any parts of a tree that cross onto your land (so the person can place half a tree for example as the other half isn't shown), same with particles.
Technically they'd still be there, but wouldn't be visible. Would have to force solid objects to be treated as phantom to anyone on your land though, so overlapping walls that become invisible can't get in your way. |
