ok, I really think many people Just pop-up because they can and being able to see you on map to them means your open.. why don't LL add a system to block see on map to were you are.. or than removing some great friends on mistakes because they need you are a sec but your bussy.. this would help very very well.

Been suggested a thousand times. Each time has resulted in something to the effect of:
LL doesn't want us to be unmappable/invisible.

There's two completely different things that people ask for here.
1. Not being seen on the map by people nearby.
2. Not being shown as online (for Instant Message, Friends, the "Map..." button in profile, ...).
Every time this comes up, LL responds (if they respond at all) that they don't want to do #1.
But it sounds to me like you're asking for #2.

But it sounds to me like you're asking for #2. I want it to block friends to tp to you on map,they can still can see you online and IM to you.. nothing more...

OK, so you just want to disable the "Map..." button on the profile.
I can't imagine LL objecting to that.
