Dear Linden Lab,

I know upgrading servers and systems takes time, in the case of many (not too pricey) systems even downtime, but I'd like to see less and less downtime in the future. (Planned and unplanned.)

I'm kinda okay with unplanned downtime, it's fortunately rare, but planned downtime on version upgrades is a real headache. It's more and more hours, and the worst is that it always tends to hit when I'd most love to be in SL, not when I'm away in RL.

As SL is used by some Europeans, the american early-morning noon time is evening-night in Europe, that's a pain in the butt.

Please consider enhancing the process or even totally eliminating total system down state (maybe upgrade a sim at a time, bring back sims one by one, but from the first minute, etc).

I got home from work 3 hrs ago, and still waiting since then for SL to be opened again. I think they're over 30 mins over official downtime :-(

Yes, you're right, for many americans, this is just sleeping or worktime, maybe that's why it doesn't bother them :-)

I voted "No, it's ok" as I prefer to have the updates. I don't feel that the current frequency is a prob. There.com is closed each morning for 1.5 hours. They happen to still be down now. SL does a much better job in controlling downtime.
