how about a nice inventory file manager option at login.

you log into SL but tick inventory manager and it loads that up and that only.

here you are presented with an environment like windows folder.

where you can easly and quickly sort through your inventory and clean it up.

no issues over 3d environment as you wont be in it!

then user clicks save & close and they then auto relog into SL like normal.

wow!

must be dead easy to implement also!

Nice idea CJ! :D

I'd like to see this taken one step farther however, and provide us with a whole editing environment prior to actually 'going online'. Imagine this...

You fire up SL as normal and log into whichever account you're after (this could connect to the SL servers in the background but leave you 'offline' as far as the world in game is concerned). You're then presented with a rotatable view of your AV in standard Appearance Editing and your inventory so that you can change and adjust clothes/attachments. You can also organise your inventory from this screen. Hit a tab at the side of the screen and switch to 'sandbox' mode where you can build using all the usual tools in a local 100mx100m area with a posestand (and see your AV - for attachment creation). The objects you create here are local only - and LL could charge per object to upload.

Then once you've done with editing your appearance, clearing out your inventory, building those essential attachements and uploadsing them, log in to SL to share with the world :)

This would give a lot of us the privacy and quiet we'd like to build within.

yes nice ideas.

i think your private build function would be welcomed also by the lindens as they could then charge if we want to transfer the creation into the game world.

come on lindens you know you want too! ! !
