I feel the models we currently use in SL based off early edition of poser are obselete for what we can do. Upgrading to Poser 5 models would allow more attach points greater animation range and make avie's taht much more customizable. I'd like to see something happen in this respect for the good of all of SL

well lets see i didnt go into graphic detail i suppose but im sick and tired of having my rings mess up when im wearing them cuz they move with the hand instead of the fingers and necklaces move with the head or chest as opposed to the neck itself. as well as key animation features like finger movement in animations. implementing poser 5 would allow SL to be more realistic movment wise and in other way.... Please Consider it :)

Hey I'm poised and ready to make 100's of ASL gestures as soon as fingers articulate.

Doubt it will happen, to many people are complaining about 3 fps now, wait until you increase the polycount to a Poser 5 avatar... I'm all for it since I have a top of the line computer.

Actually

the polygon count for a poser 5 model isnt that much higher then the current model unless a high res model is used as a base which is highly doubtful to start with as the skin base with the current model has high res as well. People with low fps are gunna run into trouble with a new rendering system plausibly to and fps has gone up a bit recently.

SL doesn't use a Poser body. LL cooked up the mesh format themselves (it's actualy similar to that used by cal3d).

model wise though it does as far as what parts move and the like..... having the ability to possibly animate finger neck sepeartely would allow much more even if we arnt directly used to a poser body still updating the animation range would be a great help to many people and possibly give mroe attach points
