Way To Im Ppl Without Being Online

i dunno if this was stated in the past but there should be a way that hen you see your friends online, you can double click on them and enter message to IM them without having to log into SL. this would be really useful if you got POed at someone and logged off with some dramatic exit and wanna talk to someone privately without everyone bugging you, or just if you travel on a vacation and your computer doesn't download/ support SL and you need to communticate with friends, you should be able to. gimmie some feedback here

It's been mentioned probably a thousand times in the past. The Lindens have kept pretty much quiet about it until recently, when they made a comment about moving Second Life to have more open-source protocols, Instant Messaging being one of them.

There has been no timetable set forth to my knowledge, but it is one of the most requested features of all time, if not the most.

Max Case has a system where you can send a message to someone in-world from a website; but the SL system itself just can't do it.

u guys are aware that u can respond to messages from the emails sent to ur email when ur offline right? that is as long as u leave that im open while u urself are online !!! lol
