1) If someone is typing an IM to you, and you are inworld, I would like to see the IM button indicate this in some subtle way - as they are typing. Equally, when in actual IM conversation with someone it would be very useful to know that the other person is typing a reply. MSN Messenger does this and for good reason.
2) The option to automatically delete any inventory items not 'used'/rezzed in the last X period of time.
3) Being able to sort the Inventory by Creator (so you see folders appear that represent the Creators' names - your own being at the top).
4) Being able to set text colours for individual Avs, applicable to both chat and IMs.
5) Seeing those that I have a Calling Card for as different coloured dots on the Map.

No, it doesn't make sense to have the option to auto-delete, that's simply too dangerous ... Maybe "throw into an 'Unused Items' folder in their original hierarchical tree" would be better, with the feature to right-click, and Delete from there (like with the trash bin). |

It's an 'option', I would *choose* to clean my Inventory in this way - I wasn't implying that the Inventory would do this without your blessing..
And deleted objects would go into the trash as they do now, so can easily be saved if you change your mind.

Sort By Date... Shift-select all the stuff at the bottom of the list.... Hit Delete.
(Then empty your trash.)
