Enhance the Classifieds (after getting things fixed)

Unfortunately, my shops were among those which don't show up in the Shopping search for the product I sell, since the ad name doesn't start with the product name. It starts with the name of the shop.

The result was an almost total stop to sales at both shops which previously had been running a slow but very steady pace.

So I added another ad with the product name as the ad name, resulting in an almost immediate restart to sales for the shop the ad was for.

This tells me that the classifieds, and in particular the search capability, is critical to the non-land economy of SL.

Once the current problems are fixed, I would suggest that LL put some effort into a much better search capability in the Shopping system. It would very likely improve the overall SL economy significantly which I would think would be in the best interests of both LL and the residents.

Agreed, it only seems to return classifieds that begin with the search word, rather than all that contain it. It should search all keywords and return results based on relevance (number of keywords matched) and the price paid. Even better would be to allow us to choose keywords ourselves independant of the classified's title, so titles remain descriptive rather than being a string of keywords.
