I'll make this simple. Big inventory = bad. There are numerous duplicates of the same item in everyone's inventory. Create a "Find Duplicates" option, that, when selected, will search the inventory, find all items that have the same name, and list them in a separate tab.
For instance, if you have 30 "Objects," four "Nissan Versas," and two "Cubey Terra Basic Airplanes," then all of these will pop up in your duplicates tab, for you to sort through and delete at will.

Agree! Coding to remove duplicates is a pain. And first u have to get the name to get the key. So that's two steps. Then looping thru inventory comparing keys takes ages and causes tremendous lag. LL, we need help here!  |

I'd like a feature like that also. You should have watched me typing in names of things in each folder to find duplicates of them in other places when I was cleaning out thousands of duplicates in my inventory.

This. I can't even get on my original user because I have too many duplicates of items in my inventory. It'd be much easier to clean it out if we had a duplicates tab or something.

Well, it is not big inventory = bad, but rather unorganized inventory = bad. I have about 71k with no issues, but my inventory is OCD organized. The Search filers help. Search for *, but limit it to Scripts, or Landmarks, etc - and clean them out. Make sub folders.. lot of them. But not in the System folders. Keep the system folders empty as often as possible, and you will find your inventory loads faster, you teleport faster, and the map comes up faster. |
