For the sake of shape shifters everywhere!

Could we please please have some way to automatically switch and change attachments?

I want my wings to apear when I'm flying, and for them to disapear when I'm not flying, but without them still hanging around in transparent mode. They use flex prims which (I don't know) may take up my ol computers limited resources even when transparent, so I want them totally gone when I'm not flying. Perhaps a permanent object that I wear can attach it's inventory items to me automatically, and them have then be removed when I change state?

I got the attachment part down, but when you detatch an item it puts a copy in your inv and you end up with hundreds of copies over a short period of time. Dropping the item would be a good alternative but there is no LSL option for that. Could there please be one? If there is an issue where limited use items need to be prevented then only allow the llDropItem command to work with copiable items.

I would also love an object to have the ability to apply attachments and body shapes (eye color, etc) to an av automatically (with permission).

it's simple... use script to change texture and scale the prim when not flying.... duh.

It already has been done better now, start shopping some more. :P

There are wings with hundreds of prims. Changing texture or alpha or scaling them is pretty damn laggy.

To avoid this, I have some attachments I change manually by dragging the replacement out of my inventory, but it would be much better if they could "llAttachObject" a replacement for themselves (so they'd be automatically detached without a duplicate in inventory, and the replacement could attach them when necessary).
