AUTORETURN OBJECTS feature proposal

I'd like to put in a feature suggestion and would like your feedback.

Currently, the AUTORETURN OBJECTS feature will return everything on a group-owned parcel that is NOT set to group...including any objects owned by the officers of the group.
I would like to propose that this feature be changed to add the following functionality:

AUTORETURN OBJECTS performs a check on the objects before returning them to see if the object owner is an officer of the group that owns the land. If yes, these items are not returned.

I couldn't find any existing proposal that addresses this.

Would you support this?
What are the downsides of this proposed change?

Peace,
-Hunter

I vote against. There are many times that i DO NOT want objects I am rezzing to be permanant. This is why i explicitely change to a diff group. I can use the things i need (usually class materials) and safely know they will be cleaned promptly without littering the area.

Think about combat sims with bullets that are neither TOR or use llDie.

Think about one of your officers working on a new project and accidentaly drops something a few hundred meters below ground.

There are actually a lot of reasons that (in my opinion) trump the value of the objects group being ignored in favor of the owner merely being a member of the group. Another one being system resources. The objects group field is information local to the sim. After all its in the sim or it wouldnt be subject to autoreturn. The list of groups belonging to an individual on the other hand would be a network query that must ask some non local source for the information before being able to make a decision.

Not trying to say its a bad idea. Just i think the cons outweigh the pros for this particular idea. Constructive criticism to debunk MY constructive criticism is still welcome.
