Hi. Perhaps it is just a problem that I have, but several times I have been shopping in SL, or in an area with several other residents, and someone has crossed my path as I am clicking or trying to get info on an item. It immediately offered my friendship to the resident who passed by, and embarassingly, I had to explain to them that it was an accident. It would be nice if there was some secondary "are you sure?" question that came up when you offered friendship so that you could opt out of it if it was done in error.

I've had something like this happen once. I meant to right click on an object of mine that was on the ground, but accidentally right clicked on someone's invisible prims (and instantly offered them friendship). I'd be in favor of a dialog to make sure you want to offer friendship.

Quick question...how often does this happen?
Basically, I think it would be 100 times more annoying to be asked "Are you sure" every single time I try to do something...than occasionally 'mis-clicking' and having to explain to someone I didn't mean to add them as a friend.

If you hold down the right click and drag slightly in the direction of the "add friend" option and then release, it'll automatically select that. It's just a different way of using the pie menu. Just TAP the right mouse button and THEN move the mouse. That's all there is to it. :B
