Sometimes when I'm attaching stuff, I wish I had more attachment points. For example...the neck? or elbows?...how about ankles? knees?
I'd love to see more of them, dunno how anyone else feels about it.

I agree Cheetah, I think we need more attachment points.

more attachments means more lag loading.. more bling attachments (bling kneepads anyone?)
edit: more bling = more blingtards

bling aside

bling attachments aside, especially those with a creature avatar will agree with me that when putting on stuff, for instance a sword for playing darklife in game, we lose the attachment hand or paw or claw or whatever because the hand has only one attach point. Likewise goes with the head, put on a hat or goggles or the like in an avatar aside from the basic human and see what happens.

Just a thought, but instead of making more points, why not just allow more than one object per point? it'd probably make various aspects of scripting horribly convoluted, but why not have 3, or 5, or even an infinite number of attachments per point, in an array or list type of setup? ("attach > right hand > point 1" Well, okay, I can think of a couple of answers to "why not" regarding lag, added confusion in managing attachments, horribly convoluted scripts, and the horrible potential of infinite bling... but apart from that, there's nothing wrong with the idea...

You mean like "center2" in the HUD?
That would be a simpler way for LL to extend the attachments. Add "Left foot 2" all the way through "Spine 2" to "Right ear 2".
Though I'd like attachment points logically at the "other end" of the link, like "bottom of spine" that would pivot at the same angle as the spine, but about the pelvis rather than the shoulders.

I understand the lag side of it, but there has to be a way to include this? I have the same problem with paws on my hands. When I attach something that goes there, it kills the paw. Would be nice to wear a fishing pole with my paw still attached. I'd use the wrist for the paw and the hand for the pole. Or what about even fingers? I think it would really be nice feature to add finally...I've been livin on these other attachment points long enough

More attachment points

Hey all, yet another furry here and I must say I agree!
We seriously need more places to attach things!
Tho I would reccomend maybe a way to define attachment points to prims themselves... thus allowing us to say put a custom attachment point on our tails, for tail rings, etc.... So far when I wanted to do this I'd just make a new tail, put the ring in place, and link it in as part of the tail ... ie ANNOYING! Especialy if you want to change rings every one in a while ... you end up with 5 tails in your inventory *BLAH*
This would also solve that fishing pole issue, just put a custom attachment point in the paw, and attach the pole there?
As for infinate bling ... Anyone that tacky will get shuned rather quick without our worring I'm sure... *hides his one piece of bling jewelry and whistles innocently*
Well, that's my 3 cents on the subject anyways *chuckles*
