Can I propose for creators, buyers and sellers of products that handle money (casino games, camping chairs, vendors, etc) to be able to pay for a trusted independent person, probably a Linden, to test the product and to view the scripts? Assuming that it is free from exploits and works fairly and perfectly, that product becomes a "SL Quality Product" (or something similar) until it is modified. I feel this will benefit everybody. Buyers will have their items value increased and sellers and users of the product will know they are getting the real thing. It's been proposed many times but the lindens don't want to get involved in the business decisions of residents so it would have to a private group and since nobody has come forward to do it and trust would be a huge issue it has yet to happen.

Yea, no reason to involve Linden, we should be able to solve this our selves. All we need is someone taking initiative and start some sort of "Lottery Inspection" which could hand out "This machine is under the supervision of... bla bla" - signs/tags to put on controlled machines.
The Casinos would have to pay some sort of monthly fee and the "institute" will go in and solve problems occuring. If casino fails to follow the rules (ex not paying a big win) they will forever loose their right to use the "sign", but the user will be payed by the institute, using the fees collected from casinos.
The institute could also test, approve and recomend machines, good idea!
Well, something like that.
This could be a fun "business" to run! But lot of work. Maybe something for some serious casinos to setup together?

personally, I'd support a proposal to ban all camping and gambling, but that's just me I guess...

You can do better than that... you can start a business for certifying scripts yourself. This doesn't require Linden Labs involvement... it just requires getting people to trust you with their script's source code. |

this sounds like a good idea but for 1 thing LINDENS you know those ppl who ignore AR's, calls for help, international phone hours you cant even get them to provide some official documentation, security, moderate the forums, or fix bugs that have been around for years i highly doubt your gonna get them to babysit a certificate program  |
