Combine proposals?

I was getting ready to make a proposal about being able to IM people ingame from the SL website "Friends Online" page, when I did a quick search on proposals out there.

I was amazed to find several different proposals which were substantially the same.

Wouldn't it be nice if the proposer were able to combine their proposal - and the votes it had gotten - with another proposal that is the same?

Or maybe list the users who have voted on a proposal so that the proposer could contact them ingame to get them to move their vote?

Or SOMETHING that would accomplish getting votes for similar proposals into one proposal, and dropping the remaining ones?

LL say they're going to revamp the voting system, because it's getting too much even for them to deal with.
