Someone please dear god listen to me. Duplicates in my inventory are driving me absolutely insane. Make a UID for an object in the inventory and have it stick to it. At this point it looks like every object has a different UID and so i'm getting hundreds of one object.

Or a quick "Find duplicates" button would be nice so they can be found and you can decide which ones to remove? Currently the changing UUID is a good thing for builders as it means you can effectively keep a version history as you work on an object, so if you make a mistake you can delete it and go back to a previous version.
But, if you don't update the name, then yes, it gets VERY messy :)

An alternative could be to have objects keep track of the inventory ID that spawned them, then when it goes back into inventory it could be grouped with its parent object in the list and appear only once. If you drag that entry into the world, it places the newest one, but if you click the + or triangle or whatever beside it, it will expand to show all versions of that one object.

I sort by name and delete all but one of each object.
