Hello, i think that notecards are very very very user Unfriendly, i would like to see a change on that, maybe html? some kind of simple form of hypertext would be intersting, aswell as a better navigation system

With navigation system i mean a way to navigate trough the contents of the notecard better than scroll down scroll down scroll down etc...

Yes... i think some kind of html with the ability to load sub-notecards within one main notecard by clicking on links would be the best choice,

Just like html :p

What do u people think about this ?

What are the possibilities of seeing this added to SL?

I would rather see some better land flag retrieval options in LSL, better object returning tools, a better graphics engine, and llCreateNotecard().

Notecards are already in XML, and so are all dialog boxes in the UI.
We can't normally access the raw code though you CAN have sub-notecards... just drag and drop them dude!
If and when we get llCreateNotecard... I'll worry about it :P

OMG I hate that! Moleculor, those ideas are great, but please don't hijack someone elses thread. Ugh, that irritates me so much when people do that.

That said, I like the HTML Idea very much. Infact I asked for an HTML texture along time ago but no one ever listens to me (ergo why we still don't have a utopian society) :-D

I think that these two ideas can be merged. Keep note cards because they are nice and simple. But add a new texture object that is processed by the client's HTML plugin/reader. It's purely client side, and retrieves web pages. The name of the object is simply the URL, and thustly when the object is opened from inventory a window similar to a texture window pops up and shows displays the web page at that URL. And when placed on the face of an object, the client uses that webpage as the object's texture.

But ahhh forget it, no one ever listens to me.
