Change to the "inventory" window

The idea is to split the existing 2 tabs into three, four or more tabs ... depending on how easy implementation is. The basic idea is that there is space at the top of the window that could be used.

The first idea (three tabs) is to split the "My Inventory" and "Library" folders into tabs in their own right. One of the effexts of this is that "close all folders" reduces you to the folders in "My Inventory" or "Library" rather than these two folders.

The second idea covers the "four or more tabs" and is to allow one or more user tabs. One possible use of this would be to allow the user to effectivly split attachments, buildings, clothing out into separate tabs ... useful for people with large inventories.

I'm not sure how difficult this would be to implement ... it might be easier if the "recent item" tab became a "spacial folder" within any given tab, then the tabs could be implements as some kind of "top level folder".

No doubt other people have ideas on this front and any implemented idea should incorporate input from more than one person.

What are your thoughts on this idea please,

I would like sl to make it easier to find and delete duplicates of items.... I got a lot of freebies at one time and many are the same exact thing over and over. I would love to be able to find and delete the duplicates to reduce my huge inventory .

You can do that right now (or you could a few months ago) by editing the inventory floater xml file, but it was rather quirky (filters would only work for the first tab and some other odd behaviour).

If you're happy just using the filters to filter specific tabs then that shouldn't take a whole lot of work since it seems most of the functionality is there already, it just needs a little tweaking :).
