I would like the option to disable the Owner/Description text from popping up when someone hovers the mouse over a HUD I created.
When the gret hovertext box pops up, it tends to hide buttons and/or text on the HUD.
I know there is a way in the menus to shut off hovertext in the client, but I want to be able to disable hovertext for anyone using my HUD.
As for implementation of this feature, one possibility would be a script-settable property of each prim.

I know what you're asking, but it's kinda not something you'd be able to control.
What they need to do is make it so that ALL HUDS don't have that popup box, regardless of client settings. Why? Because all it does is tell you who you are.

I second Draco's comment. That was my immediatethought... why would I ever want the popup showing up on HUD prims?

Personally, I'd like to be able to modify that hover text for help hints on my custom huds as opposed to getting rid of it.

That hovertext from a HUD was bugging me in past few days. In addition to blocking my view it is annoying because of how stupid it is to show me that I am the owner of something I couldn't see if I weren't it's owner.
