Just came across a BIG problem with prim based creations today when a friend was accused of stealing others designs . They linked a modifiable copyable prim to someone elses work and named her as the creator. Problem is when you go to edit linked parts no names come up.When you view the total object and it has the name of the creator whos last prim was linked shows up as the creator . I think all prims should retain their creators Name that way things like this cannot happen in second life anymore.. When the objects are Unlinked the names of the original creator(or creators) comes back.

Individual Prims retain Creator name even when linked to another prim created by someone else. and viewable in the Edit Linked parts section of the Editor By anyone who looks at it .
And also add a Modified by line also would help out in this also
