If this has already been brought up somewhere and I missed it, I apologize.

IDEA ONE:

It seems rather obvious that the economy woes of the game are because there's too much money coming in and not enough coming out. Why not charge people fees for listing events? It seems that this would solve a lot of problems, not only as an additional sink, but also it would weed out a lot of the garbage events, or at least cut them down, like yard sales and the like.

A tier system could be in place for the fees based on things like how many visitors the parcel receives in the last 24 hours, etc. This way the more popular your place becomes, the more it will cost you to pay for the event listing. For example, a brand new store with zero traffic would pay a base fee that's reasonable, but after awhile if they start to get frequent visitors, the fee will creep up with each tier. (Exactly how the tiers would work based on the number of visitors coming would need to be worked out.)

IDEA TWO:

On the find section it shows you all the events listed for that day and what have you. I propose we also add a pulldown menu with subcategories of events. This same pulldown menu would be applied to the main map page, that way you can focus on just the sub-category you want to look at with the stars on the map. So in this case, you can have Education events, Grand Opening events, Yard Sale events, Business related events, Entertainment events, Arts and Culture events, etc. Or if the pulldown menu on the map page isn't an option, we can color code the event stars based on the sub-category they're in.

This will save us a load of time having to sift through all of the events looking for something specific, plus it will help us weed out the stuff we have no intention of ever looking up.

Thanks!
