I would like to be able to choose the shape of the cut to a prim, as we can do with hollow.

Approved. I wouldn't mind having more control over this, and since it can be stored as an integer... However, I will posit a question: How could this be done without breaking llSetPrimitiveParams? This might need to wait for a new LSL version.
