So, Feb. 16 nearly all the ratings I valued will be gone. In their place will be a bunch that I received for "creating" the Mahjong game. I created the furniture, but it's not me that deserved the ratings for the game, it's Xylor.
Anyway, I think from now on having LOW ratings in both the positive and negative columns will indicate to me that someone is of value. So what I propose is that when someone rates me, I can refuse the rating and give them the money back. I don't consider that I deserve most of my ratings, and I don't give a rat's ass about the money. Let me cancel the rates myself.
Give an option to Refuse Rating!

Give an option to Refuse Rating! Interesting... Perhaps give us an option to opt-out of the ratings system in that case...

Awesome idea!
I'd be able to refuse the negrates of all those Tringo players that I firebombed last night.
Hehe, I'm assuming that you'd only recommend that positive ratings could be refused. Which would be nice, because quite often I feel that I haven't done anything particularly worthy of a posrate, and don't want that awkward feeling of indebtedness to rate them back "in order to be polite".

I like being able to positively rate people who help me or who build really cool stuff. I know the system is horribly flawed, but I just pretend it isn't, and carry on, I guess.
It would be nice if we had more choices than "builder" and "creator" when rating through objects, though. "Scripter" at least comes to mind. Probably also "animator." Possibly "sound" (though I wonder how many sounds are created by the people who import them, and I don't know as the system tracks sounds as it does other objects). And some things are really only distinct because of the texture used, which someone may not have created themselves. That might be splitting hairs too fine, though.

Ratings...
Why are people so concerned about what others think of them?
Know who you are. Be your best. F the rest.
You can try, but you will not be liked / appreciated by all, no matter what you do.

i'd like an option to automatically change all the ratings you receive into the opposite...... positive to negative and negative to positive.

Remember folks. If you dont like what someone does, you should neg rate. This is the work of Robin Linden. I propose we all neg rate her
