Simple...a toggle feature for the blue in the mini-map representing your items. I'm building a sim...I can't see anyone on the radar in that place.

Do the Lindens even read these threads?

I think only one of them...Torley, who's not one of the development team from what I know.

I can imagine what that 'd be like though o.o

I ENDORSE THIS PRODUCT AND/OR SERVICE.

I've only got a little plot of land and I'm really getting a lot of hate for the blue. I really need a "hide my objects in the mini map" option.

*nods* I'm not a dev--just a composite alloy of the Resident experience and I'm on the Community Team.

Good idea, strength in unity... get loads more Resis to post here and that'll shine a light on it. That's one way how things--even the little things--will get picked up for development, in addition to pairing them with feature votes.

Did you also know you can right-click on the Mini-Map to zoom it? :)

"Did you also know you can right-click on the Mini-Map to zoom it?"

Zoom close still shows the entire sim. In fact, I was already AT that zoom level. Hardly close, and hardly useful: still a sea of blue with some green T shapes hidden in there.

I've been posting bug reports on this one every release for 6 months.

It's so basic and easy to fix it's untrue

The SL UI needs a good overhaul generally imho.

who thought bright green on cyan would work ?

I think it's all about the bad communication lines at LL. Everyone I know thinks that glowing blue thingie is bad, but somehow the developers never seem to find out.

Bad communication.

Torley says you can zoom the minimap? Me and three other players with 1 year experience go "huh?"

More bad communication.

If I had a nickel for every time I find out about some feature of the game that has been around for months (or years) but is so poorly documented that no one even knows it exists...

The only saving grace is before they hired Torley, it was a lot lot worse.
They need to hire more communicators and less developers.

Thank you Torley. :)

Welkies--whatever more I find out, I'll share... I'm intent on that!

A lot of things should be explained a LOT clearer. :D

Hasn't become an issue for me, but I can definitely see it becoming one.

Is there a better way to communicate with the developers? Perhaps an email address or customer support line or somesuch? Some way of directly communicating with them so that we can be sure that they are aware of this issue?

Because right now it's hard to tell if they're aware of it, but it's not high on their list of priorities right now, or they're not aware of it at all.

I have wanted the ability to toggle my items in and out of view on the mini map since the begining.
