llOwnerSay uses the same color as all the output produced by objects, but that means I can't distinguish between output other people can hear, and what only I can. I'd like to have an additional color added for llOwnerSay to make it possible to tell the difference.

I like that idea. I'm always asking people around me:
"Did you hear that"? "Hear what"? "OK good" _____________________

That would be AWESOME. Makes it so if I end up buying something using the wrong function (say instead of OwnerSay) I can actually yell at the maker! (and not have to bother the people around me by asking if my object said anything).

Hmm. So I guess the idea is to make IMs from an object (llOwnerSay, llInstantMessage) be in a different color than something an object says out loud? It sounds good to me.

This is a really good idea - any sort of private text that nobody else can hear appears in a different colour. I'm sure it would be simple to do, and would make life a lot easier. Come on, it doesn't get much better than that, does it?

i say don't stop there. i want different colors for different avatars around me, something simmilar to aim/msn's options for custom font/text color, so i can easily visually differentiate who said what in a crowd. this should of course be optional, with the ability to "override player's custom font/colors with your default (damn those people who'd pick yellow on white!).
and oh ya, let me remove group and im's from my primary chat pane much like i can from the chat history window o.o; kthx~! ![]() |

How about color configuration for llInstantMessage aswell? my vendors instant message people when they buy things, and since owner say is owner only, it would be nice to have a different instant message from object color aswell
