I just tried a demo skin and it's distinctly inferior to what I had and I can't remember what the name of the one I had on is.

Arghhh!

Hence the need for Undo and Redo.

Oh good, I think I remembered who it is by.

Unfortunately the person who made the skin didn't put their name in the skin name.

Arghhhhh!

Product makers, when you can, please put your name in the product name so people who can remember your name can find the stuff they bought from you.

I guess I can put there name in at slexchange.com or slboutique.com and find the skin name I suppose.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll be sure to implement it with my new line. As for undo buttons, I second that and propose that they be implemented in buikding as well!

Regards,
Mad

There is an undo function for building.

To make it work, you have to have the chat bar closed.

Then you can undo something like a move or a size change with control Z, and redo it with control Y.

I don't think it works perfectly but it is much better than nothing.

When using this mode it might be useful to use the Prefrerences, Chat tab, Chat Options, Close chat after hitting return checkbox; check that box so the chat bar closes automatically when you press enter.

Then when you need to say something while you click the chat button, type it and press enter, and the chat bar closes again, thus allowing the undo to work again.

The undo function appears to maintain separate action lists for separate objects.

Keep your current avatar skin,shape,etc... in a folder in your clothing folder. That way you can always get back to it.

That's what I do and it works great! Especially after a Teleport goes wrong and I arrive at my location looking like a Cross dressed hermaphrodite.

I just find my default outfit and wear it, then all is good in the world.

This does not serve the same function as having Undo and Redo.

One could eliminate the need for Undo and Redo in a word processor by saving the file with a different version number anytime any change, however small, is made to the file. Those who want to work this way, and find this to serve the functions of Undo and Redo, are welcome to do so.

Me, I'd use the Undo and Redo functions instead.
