A way to make neighbors security lines not visible on my property

I have a lot its a small one and no matter where I position my house on the lot the neighbors red security lines run right
through my building.

Please if there is not a way to make the next door land owners security system not visible on your property consider
adding this as a feature.

I have move the house as far away as allowed on the lot.

But no luck big red lines running across one entire wall.

Agreed, this should be toggleable in the viewer, just like property lines are.

Agreed. A toggle would be great. Once we know we are banned from a plot, there is no reason we should be forced to look at the red barricade lines.

Agreed. Even an option in the Debug menu would be nice for this. The bars really are ugly and can ruin a view easily.

:: BUMP ::

I have at least one other friend who reported this very issue to the Lindens weeks ago... please do something about this! Nasty red lines really don't go with most people's decor.

I agree. The red bars should be an option in the viewer, or at the very least available from the debg menu.

Yes indeed!

Unlike the very useful and unobtrusive property lines, the plot access bars are incredibly intrusive. This badly needs separate switching, yes!

I heartily endorse this product and/or service. Neighbor in front of my house has 'em... quite an annoyance.

you can disable them all together by editing
"C:\Program Files\SecondLife\app_settings\viewerart.ini"
and search and replace
CODE
5d3e196b-fd4d-ada7-e4c1-99f8e9f1cfbf

with
CODE
8cbfcd6f-798d-9064-ac1f-5d75060247ab

the 8cbf key is a transparent texture. You can change all the images and avatar animations by editing this file. By changing other files in the app_settings directory you change most of how the client looks.

Thanks a ton, Strife! That's a major help. To get rid of the equally annoying green lines, you can also replace this key:
CODE
ac8f8627-6a30-8da8-d4bd-958668eea7a0

We still need a toggle, of course. This isn't exactly the most user-friendly solution.

and every time you update the client you will need to apply it again.

not to mention you should keep a backup of the files you mod.

This is also how you can take a screen shot of the map with no avatar icons on it or telehubs.
