It does. how do you think those silly candles work. (the non particle ones)

dur, i guess you're right. but! those use frame by frame animation. i tried making something with a looping smooth animation and every time i put a texture on it with an alpha it went totally transparent. non alpha textures worked fine. what up? it's supposed to work?
so ya know, i've made looping smooth texture animations before so it's nothing new to me, and i tried more than one alpha texture and more than one non alpha texture. any ideas? |

I just tested this to be sure but yes it does work... even when using smooth animation. Are there any other textures near/on the object you're using settextureanim on that are alpha? If so.. it might be one of those silly openGL problems. That's just a shot in the dark tho. :-/

um.....heh. i'm deeply and profoundly retarded. i turned off alpha rendering in the debug menu cause i was working on something tiny and the edit particles get in the way. that's why the texture animation went completely clear when i used an alpha texture.

No worries. _____________________
