Currently there is nowhere for an avatar who has no land nor desire for any to set as "home." I always assumed, as did helpers at Linden Lab, that the Welcome Area could be used for that. But as it turns out, once leaving that area and calling someplace else home, you can no longer have it serve as home. That leaves anyone who owned land at one time and sold it...homeless.
Unless, of course, they want to join a club and call that home. Frankly, with no offense intended, setting The Barbie Club as home leaves someting to be desired. So I would humbly suggest that any public Linden land be endowed with the capability of being called home to anyone who desires it. In that way, a person could at lest designate a location convenient to their activities to serve as a login point, return point...all the things one assiciates with the home spot in SL.
