I dont know how feasible this idea is or not, but I think it would be pretty cool to have realistic weather systems run through the grid. Like maybe have storm systems or cloud cover move through sims in a realistic fashion, some sims maybe have more rain than others, or are more cloudy, while others are always sunny and become vacation/resort destinations.

Maybe this could even start a cottage industry of meterologists and track long term trends of a sims climate. Maybe have the Northern and Southern sims even get snowy in the winter months.

Just think it would be cool to add a little variety to the sims instead of every sim pretty much being the same. Also to be able to look a the grid map and maybe seeing sattelite type imagery of the current cloud cover, weather, etc in the world of SL.

I agree these features would be cool.
The SL grid currently has wind that is supposed to move across sims. I am not sure if the clouds at 200m do this.

yes it would b cool, i agree, but so far with the particle snow... we get snow inside our houses! LOL and the clouds float right thru too... perhaps sl would need a new engine to realise that a prim is a solid thing and cant b penatrated by non primmy things lol

I'm told that there was a time when there was rain. but it went through buildings so they disabled showing it. There is infact weather; you just can't see it.
