Improve Camera and Avatar movement

I tried making a little machinima this weekend and found that there is a lot left to be desired when dealing with the camera for SL.

1. A radio button that locks the camera so the avatar stays framed where ever you set the camera view. For instance you film a close up with the face centered and then have the avatar walk, the camera should have the option of keeping the avatar centered instead of whipping around to the rear and cutting off the legs.

2. Fluid camera pans and fly arounds. One would assume "camera springiness" would affect camera movement but I can't see anything changing.

3. More fluid/smooth avatar movement, smooth out the jerky avatar movement so it looks more natural.

4. give us a slider to adjust avatar walk and fly speeds. The ability to adjust animation speeds would be awesome.

I haven't tried making machinima in SL yet...too slow and jerky for me to really consider it, but I have found a way that might help (I'm new here, you might already know this). I have found that if you use ALT-Mouse to zoom in on an avatar, when that avatar gets up and moves around the camera tends to follow them. Of course, the first time you move your avatar the camera snaps back to you, but if you are just being the camera man and not in the action, would that solve that part of your problem?
