Group text area for notes

One of the MAJOR shortcomings of groups in SL is that there is no way to store persistent information (other than the very limited group description) with groups. For example, there is no way to list the upcoming performances of live musicians on Live Music Enthusiasts - rather, one can only wade through the Events listings or ask people. And it's up to the club owners to post the events, which they sometimes forget to do. I want to be able to pull up the Live Music Enthusiasts group and see who's playing this week or month. All we need is a text area on the Groups tool that can be edited by members or officers (a group preference setting). This could be used for general persistent information, not just listing events.

An alternative would be to have group-based events (with a group selector in the Events tool), but that restricts the idea to events, and brings in all the limitations of the Events system; a general text area in the Groups tool would be much more widely applicable, and would give group members the power to share information with other members.
