I don't have the resources to test for myself, but several people have confirmed for me that llLoadURL() doesn't cause the SL client to prompt before opening a URL in a browser. IMHO, this is a *REALLY* bad idea. The client needs to prompt the user whether or not to open a browser on that URL. Theres quite a lot of mischief that can be caused otherwise... Feel free to contact me in game.

When I set it up today, it generated a prompt. Maybe there's a way around it, but the straightforward setup I used showed both the URL and my message, and asked for confirmation, every time.
I'm puzzled as to how you could not have the resources to test this... unless you don't have a browser installed on the same system you play SL on, I guess. Otherwise, it's simple enough to make a click cube in a sandbox and have it load Google, or whatever. neko _____________________

Two of my friends tried it and weren't prompted. Odd.
Easy, I 'm on a laptop with just enough ram for SL. I need more ram. ![]() |

Oh, ram. Right. My sympathies.
![]() I'm on the Mac version of SL. Possible this is a bug in the PC version? Or maybe it was fixed in 1.6.4? I can't find the release notes for 1.6.4 to check. I completely agree that not providing the URL in a confirmatory popup is a bad security bug. neko _____________________
