This is in response to this thread in the Hotline forum, in which it was suggested that we should remove the Account History option from the client and point it directly to the website. Perhaps I'm mistaken, but I don't think this has been suggested elsewhere, so there should be some discussion on it. I see where the original poster is coming from, since the current Account History doesn't give much detail on income from automated vendors. However, is this really an issue? Most vendor systems I've seen have some sort of sales history recording built-in. And if not, something like that shouldn't be difficult to include. Furthermore, a lot of people run SL in fullscreen mode, and if one wants to quickly check on something like dwell, or expenses, they shouldn't have to leave the client, open a browser, log in, then go back to the game, even if this process was automated with a button/menu option. So, I think that if this is really an issue, there should be a button in the existing account history box to view detailed transactions on the website, and leave the box otherwise untouched. Anyone else?

Hey heyo Felix! To expand on what I wrote there... my original suggestion to other Lindens, which followed up from a convo I had with Oz Spade awhile back, was to have just what you say here--a button. It's an alright "stopgap" measure but I was projecting a possibility into the future. More ideal would be to have a comprehensive account history, same as the website's, destined for inworld. (Some might speculate where HTML-on-a-prim comes into play with this.) More ideas would be fab, and thanx for pointing that out!

Add a link to the website, yes, but for people with low end systems the difference between a quick check to see who's bought stuff recently and opening a browser window makes the FPS cost of turning on local lighting and water ripples at a sea-level fireworks show look picayune. "NO" to change Account History to point to website. If you want that, add a link instead. I don't want to load a web browser everytime and lag my computer for mins just to check how much stipend I got from my groups today.
The Account History is good enough for me actually. All I need to do is set the name of my vendors so that it always include name of the sim and location of vendor.
